What is a TEDx event?“A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and performances are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.” You can come to TEDxUrsinusCollege to learn more!

What date/time is the event?TEDxUrsinusCollege will be held on Saturday, April 24th from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. There will be a lunch break from 12:00 - 1:00.

How do I sign up for the event?Visit https://www.ursinus.edu/calendar/view/event/date/20210424/event_id/22051 to pre-register for the event!

Is the event in person or virtual?The event will be all virtual on Zoom with session #1 from 10:00 - 12:00, a lunch break from 12:00 - 1:00 and session #2 from 1:00 - 3:00.

How do I get the link?Use the pre-registration link to sign up for the event and you will receive an email containing the Zoom link.

Do I need to be able to attend the whole event to join?Anyone is able to join TEDxUrsinusCollege whenever they are able. However, we do encourage everyone to join at 10:00 am in order to catch all of the presentations and participate in discussion!

Do I have to pay to attend the event?No, the event is free for all attendees!

Will the speakers be present at the event?The speaker presentations will all be pre-recorded, however, some speakers will be at the event to facilitate discussion within the breakout rooms.

What will we do in breakout rooms?Discuss the content of the speaker presentations and TED Talks with your peers! We will have discussion questions to facilitate open dialogue, but you are able to contribute however much you would like to the conversation!

Will recordings be available? What if I cannot watch live?Recordings will be on the official TEDx site as well as YouTube after the event. We will send follow-up emails when the recording is posted

Do I have to be a member of the Ursinus community to watch?Nope! The event is open to the public!
